Who We Are
The Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Club at Obafemi Awolowo University brings together students passionate about tackling the global challenge of AMR. Through engaging workshops, seminars, research initiatives, and community outreach programs, we strive to empower our members and the wider community with knowledge and practical solutions. We are a vibrant community dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and driving positive change in the fight against antimicrobial resistance within and beyond Obafemi Awolowo University.
Our Aims And Objectives
(i) To create awareness within the Obafemi Awolowo University community and environs on the dangers of antimicrobial resistance
(ii) To enlighten members of the Obafemi Awolowo University community and environs about their practices that contribute to antimicrobial resistance
(iii) To conduct research and contribute to the body of scientific knowledge on antimicrobial resistance in Nigeria and across the globe
(iv) To equip students of Obafemi Awolowo University with the necessary skills to make them AMR Advocates
(v) To organize and participate in antimicrobial resistance-related seminars, conferences, competitions, and activities locally and internationally.
